To celebrate our 7th birthday we have decided to brew a pair of 7% IPAs. Three Plus Four sees 3 hop additions to the whirlpool and 4 dry hop additions. The goal of the beer was to mae a juicy yet citrus forward IPA. To that end hops were carefully selected at each stage to push these aromatics. In whirlpool we added Sabro, Ekuanot and Amarillo to seek out strong lemon, lime and orange notes with a touch of Sabros coconut. Then we filled the dry hop charge with the super orangey Eclipse from Australia, more orange and lime from Amarillo and Ekuanot and finally adding a juice hop that has plenty of citrus too in the shape of Simcoe.
